Lauren was on a mission to find the ideal kite. High maneuverability, power, insane hang-time and impressive safety features were the qualities she was searching for in a kite. When she met up with Dimitri in Cape Hatteras in November 2007and demoed the Thruster, she knew her search was over. Lauren has been a team rider for Eclipse ever since. Lauren's stoke for kiteboarding and Eclipse makes her an asset to the team.
Lauren is an ivy-league trained, sub-specialized doctor who works part-time. As she puts it, "I am passionate about my job and luckily it provides a means to support my addiction... Kiteboarding!" Lauren is no stranger to adventure sports with a background in skiing, rock climbing, cycling, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, and sailing. According to Lauren, "Kiteboarding combines aspects of other adventure sports and takes the thrill and challenge to a whole new level." Lauren lives in Boston and kites year-round. She is also an avid snowkiter. Her time is spent juggling work, friends and family, travel and kiteboarding. Her favorite quote is, "The meaning of life is to give life meaning."
