I started kiting in 2001 while visiting Hawaii, prior to kiting I was very involved with surfing, mountain biking, and snowboarding. Kiteboarding quickly replaced these activity's (I still manage to snowboard at least 20 days a year). In NY around 2001-2002 very few guys were kiteboarding, I spent allot of time on the beach alone and riding every opportunity I had. When your kiting alone it forces you to make some innovations in order to make life easier. I remember thinking that the gear sucked and I wish someone would develop a decent kite. By 2003-2004 the sport had grown rapidly and now lots of guys were riding in NY and all over the east coast. I started making some trips down to OBX and met up with Dimitri and soon we became friends. Not long after we starting thinking about some ideas for new kites and better products.

By 2006 the concept of Eclipse was born. I was tired of working in NYC and Dimitri was feeling limited by his old sponsors and looking for a way to get more involved in this growing sport. In 2007 we launched with our first products and in just 2 years we had taken Eclipse from an idea to being a market leader, creating innovative products which improved the riders experience. I have to thank all our dealers and friends that have helped us accomplish our goals, without them and our customers eclipse would still be an idea...

As president of Eclipse I wear allot of hats. I take care of our normal business activity's while carefully watching over all our operations insuring my products meet the highest expectations. I have to travel allot these days, at least 10 days a month are spent visiting customers, factories, or attending events.
